Description

The author has compiled his 25 years of real-life experiences interacting with a man known as the "shaman" in forests, mountains, and along the coast into a book. The book focuses its lens on the three ultimate questions of "life, death, and the meaning of existence". Using "the secret to longevity" as an entry point, it directly addresses the most pressing concerns of readers regarding life and death: Why does the shaman live such a long life and remain so energetic? It proposes a unique proposition that emphasizes both personal and ecological significance, and holds value for cross-cultural and interdisciplinary discussions. The book is interwoven with Q&A sessions, notes, and fieldwork records, preserving the raw quality of first-hand oral accounts while also complementing them with the author's concise comments from a psychological semantics perspective, thus facilitating a dialogue between wilderness experiences and contemporary anxieties about meaning.
