Description

Mole's Self-Portrait:
Could my nails ever get a manicure? Or am I doomed to dig dirt all my life? Ouch! I think I just kicked a rock. No, no, it's a kid's head. Hey! You curious little thing, pull that big head back. Let's have a chat.
The place you want to put your head is my home! Pull that little head back, you little monster! We live underground. If you saw me scurrying back to my burrow when my mom shouted, "Get back to your hole, boy!" you'd understand. Our tunnels crisscross like your hair. I often get lost in the dark and end up sleeping in someone else's nest. Then I have to grope my way back home in the dark!

Author

Elif Köroğlu
Born in Bursa, she grew up in a house by a babbling brook. From dawn till dusk, I was always playing in the streets: wading in the stream, singing and releasing ladybugs, fishing in the brook, and catching grasshoppers to keep in glass jars. Trees and nature have always been Elif's closest companions. Later, Elif graduated from the Department of Turkish Language and Literature at Istanbul University and worked as an editor for children's magazines. She has a collection of leaves, insects, and pinecones, and has authored works such as "The All-Powerful Master Mehmet" and "Aunt Rolling Pin and the Vocabulary Dough".

Gözde Kartal
Born in Izmir, she began her journey in art through sketches created with her father during her childhood. She graduated from Dokuz Eylul University in 2014 with a degree in Early Childhood Education and has been continuously deepening her expertise in children's literature and digital painting by participating in various courses. For nine years, she has been working as a teacher in a kindergarten under the Ministry of Education, deeply involved in the growth of children. Her professional nature keeps her immersed in the atmosphere of children and children's literature. With the dream of creating stories and illustrations that touch children's hearts and bring smiles to their faces, she embarked on this journey, and she is overjoyed by the company of all of you.
