Feature

★A journey through the most extraordinary places by the hand of the best storyteller, the discoverer of the most extraordinary places, of improbable territories.

Description

From the giant loudspeaker of Kinmen to the churches of Lalibela, passing through the latest photographs taken from inside the Twin Towers, the minga of Chiloé, the Malpasset dam and the cathedral of storms. A journey with Pedro Torrijos through the stories that build who we are.

Civilization, light, calm, war and darkness combine in this work to show our essence. Human beings driven by desires, passions and generosity, but often weighed down by envy, hatred and evil. We build and transform; we abandon and forget.

In The Pyramid at the End of the World we learn dazzling stories of scientific advances and monumental constructions. But also stories of war material sunk in paradisiacal seas and of islands where it is forbidden to be born and to die. Stories that explain us, even if in many aspects we remain a mystery.

Author

Pedro Torrijos (Madrid, 1975) tells stories. Stories of men, women and places. Stories that are articles in El País, Yorokobu or Jot Down, among others. Stories that are soundscapes in Hoy por Hoy on Cadena Ser and in podcasts. Stories that are reports told in the unique language of social networks. And if you meet him on the street, he will probably tell you a story. In Kailas he has also published Territorios improbables.
