Description
Teen chef Layne Green is a social media star, and he's been picked to compete on Voyage de Gourmet! He'll travel all around the world, competing increasingly exciting and bizarre cooking challenges featuring local cuisine, but there's just one catch—he's been paired up with Jiang-Mi Pipper, a fellow chef and his former best friend that he rudely left behind on his way to the top. Can the two superstar chefs leave their beef in the past and win it all? Or will their sour relationship spoil their chances?
Author
Paul Tobin is an American comic writer who has written regularly for Marvel Comics since 2000, and Dark Horse Comics since 2013, and for DC Comics.
Paul is one of the two head writers for the Angry Birds comics, and is also writing episodes for the upcoming season of Angry Birds cartoon shorts. He further rounds out his domination of iPhone games by writing the Plants vs. Zombies comics, which later being adapted as the story mode of the video game Plants vs. Zombies 3.
His other current projects include the Adventure Time: Flip Side series, combining the worlds of Prometheus/Aliens/Predator in conjunction with Dark Horse Comics/Ridley Scott, and continuing work on his award-winning horror series Colder.
Bandette, which is written by Tobin and drawn by his wife Colleen Coover, won the Eisner Award for Best Digital Comic in 2013, 2016, and 2017. The series was nominated in three Eisner Award categories in 2016: Best Continuing Series; Best Digital / Webcomic; and Best Painter / Multimedia Artist: Colleen Coover.
Jem Milton (Illustrator)
Jem Milton is a non-binary artist based in Glasgow. Originally from Gloucestershire, they attended Central St Martins in London before training with Scriberia Ltd, where they worked until 2017, before moving to Scotland to pursue a career as a freelance illustrator. Jem makes illustrations, comics and infographics, along with graphic recording and running workshops on creative thinking and visual storytelling. They also make an ongoing webcomic called “The Flying Ship,” a queer fantasy adventure story inspired by Russian and Slavic folklore."
