Feature

★A feminist look at the unfair distribution of (not only financial) costs between the genders
★Being a woman is a permanent task!

Description

Money, energy, time, power and more is demanded of women. A trenchant analysis that shows how things could be fairer. Women earn less and pay more: for products and services that are marketed specifically for women, for menstruation and contraception, for births and for care work. But that is by no means all. The patriarchal structures also demand quite different other additional costs: Time, influence, energy. This imbalance must be rectified. Lea Joy Friedel analyses social conditions with razor-sharp wit and humour, tells of pitfalls, successes and the backlash. She wipes the dust off the structures and shows what is needed for a fair division of labour and a fair society for all.
