Description

"Blue Bird World Classic" Series
This series reinterprets the fairy tales written by literary giants such as the Brothers Grimm, Hans Christian Andersen, and Charles Perrault, with the painting styles of contemporary European illustrators. These illustrators, based on modern European style, faithfully reproduce the elements of trees, flowers, castles, and more from the original works, integrating the masters' imagined scenes perfectly into the "World Classic" series.

"The Little Mermaid"
The little mermaid, who lived in the depths of the sea, had always longed to explore the world beyond the ocean. One day, she swam to the surface and saw a prince, falling in love with him at first sight. However, a storm shattered the prince's ship, and the little mermaid rescued him, hiding quickly at the sound of approaching footsteps. A princess from a neighboring kingdom awakened the prince, who mistakenly believed that she was his savior and wished to marry her.

The little mermaid returned to ask a witch to turn her into a human. After drinking the witch's magical potion, she fell into a deep sleep. Later, the prince found the little mermaid on the shore, but she had lost her voice and could not speak. Her sisters came to persuade her to stab the prince on their wedding day to become a mermaid again. Unable to harm the prince, the little mermaid jumped into the sea and turned into foam, disappearing forever.
