Description

The world’s most astonishing turtles are all gathered in this book. Not every turtle is slow: many are excellent swimmers, and some can even sprint; some wear rock-solid shells, while others carry only a thin layer of skin; some fit in the palm of a hand, while others weigh as much as a small car. Each species is fascinating and unique. Inside these pages you will meet the loggerhead, the Chinese three-striped box turtle, the tortoise, the mata mata and more—every one guaranteed to capture the reader’s imagination. As always, complex information is delivered in clear, lively language. Crystal-clear infographics sit alongside gripping full-page illustrations; the photo-realistic collages make the turtles appear to crawl right off the page.
