Description

A dreamlike ice field, steaming hot springs in a volcanic region, an ice-glacier lake that sparkles like diamonds, the sudden leap of a whale’s tail breaking the surface of the sea, colorful graffiti adorning city streets, a stranger quietly reading in a café… Iceland’s vast land feels like a distant, ethereal ballad, drawing people ever closer to explore its mysteries.

Have you ever captured life with a paintbrush? In this book, author Mimo uses watercolor hand-drawings to bring to life her experiences and observations from traveling through Iceland.

Divided into eight chapters that follow the author’s itinerary, the book covers a wide range of topics, including culture, cuisine, landscapes, and fascinating local stories.

Through exquisite watercolor illustrations, you’ll be treated to breathtaking natural scenery—sometimes majestic, sometimes delicately beautiful—and through vivid storytelling, you’ll gain a deep sense of Iceland’s unique character and cultural charm.

In addition, the author skillfully weaves together the narrative with numerous hand-drawn comics, offering readers a delightful glimpse into the amusing and unexpected moments of her journey. The result is a reading experience that is both light and enjoyable, filled with pure pleasure.

With extensive experience in painting and publishing, the author has created this entirely hand-drawn work over seven years, meticulously refining each illustration. The book stands out among similar publications for its high artistic standard and distinctive style.
