In Emma Bloom’s opinion, Christmas is the most wonderful holiday of the year. For this young, stressed-out manager of a trendy London hosiery shop, nothing is lovelier than going home – to the peaceful little house in Snowhill, where her widowed mother lives, where on Christmas Eve the stockings are hung on the mantle, and where on Christmas Day old neighbours drop by for a glass of sherry. However, this year, Emma is facing her favourite holiday with a lump in her throat. Two days later, Cooper shoots out of a bush he has been exploring with a stuffed rabbit in his mouth. However, when Emma returns to the tree, the poster has disappeared. And so she decides to leave a note with her phone number up in its place. Nothing happens at first, but then Emma receives a call that sets something almost magical in motion …
