Feature

★“As we all know, literature brings people together. Not just random people, but sometimes exactly the right ones.”
★Love meets books: A deliveryman discovers the world of books and their readers.
★“What you take from a book isn’t just based solely on its content,” the bookseller declared mysteriously. “It also depends on who’s reading it, doesn’t it?” Victor had never considered that before. He nodded and let his gaze wander across the walls of shelves.

Description

Victor Iordanescu is actually a trained composer, but these days, who needs someone with that skill set, Romanian or otherwise? That is why he is in Germany, earning a living as a deliveryman. As such, he learns a lot about the people to whom he delivers parcels every day. He grows particularly curious about the woman who constantly has books delivered to her. When one day he drops off a package of lingerie at her door, his imagination can no longer be restrained. He now wishes to meet the secretive woman, who is never at home. However, this
proves to be harder than he expected …

For that purpose, he makes the acquaintance of a very clever bookseller, an extremely witty and well-read boy, and an astonishing book club – and soon his delivery van becomes a book bus that provides the neighborhood with reading material. Though in a roundabout way, all of this brings the deliveryman closer to his goal, even if it is very different from the one he originally thought he had.

A tale about the power of the imagination, the joy of reading, and – of course – the circuitous path to love.
