The contest is dedicated to discovering emerging writers who start the heyday of fiction. The grand prize is up to 100,000 RMB. In addition to be published in paper books and e-books, works that win the prize have the opportunity to be adapted into comics and dramas.
The judging of the preliminary works is composed of professional judging by writers and review by readers. The Writers Panel includes famous Korean writers Choyeop Kim, Lee Jae-woo , and Mi Ye Lee while Reader Review Panel consists of 150 readers. Soyang-ri Kitchen-Book House is the favorite story chosen by the 150 readers (350 manuscripts were collected and submitted to the Jury after the initial screening by the organizers).

Description
Eugene the local in Seoul bought a field in a remote rural area Soyang by chance, and she ran a book house here which was named "Soyang-ri Kitchen-Book House."
College friends at their 30s, a superstar with a glamorous appearance but a broken heart, a lawyer who was suddenly diagnosed with cancer on the road to success, a man who suffered repeated setbacks in the pursuit of his dreams and closed his heart after his friends betrayed him and his mother passed away... They came to "Soyang-ri Kitchen-Book House" with their own sorrows.
Here, someone wrote a beautiful piece of music turns in the moment of gazing at the stars in the night sky; someone started to write a letter to oneself when looking at the cherry blossoms fluttering in the wind; someone stayed here for a month and wrote a fairy tale about a little wizard embarking on an adventure; and a man who had fallen into the abyss of life remembered a song which resided in his warm memories with his mother. The seasons changing, guests with different stories came here to read books and rest to spend time, confide to each other and heal themselves. Ji Hye Kim was born the second child in a family with many sisters. She is quick-witted and talkative.
Dreaming of becoming a sitcom producer, she went to study journalism and broadcasting, but gave up decisively after learning about the journalist exam.
Later, she worked at an IT company in strategic planning and marketing, but left the company in one summer during the COVID-19 pandemic. After that, she started writing novels little by little while working as a translator.
She became more in love with herself as she sat writing in a small cafe nearby.
She hopes that everyone who read "Soyang-ri Kitchen-Book House" will be as relaxed as returning from a trip and as refreshed as caressed by a breeze, just like the protagonist Eugene.
