Description

Around 1917, the distinguished Irish artist Harry Clarke undertook one of the works that determined his fame: the illustration of Tales of Imagination and Mystery, an anthology of Poe's highest stories prepared by Harrap publishing house. The edition, published in London in 1919, was immediately recognized as one of the bibliographic jewels of the time. Since then, Clarke's prints continue to exert a strange magnetism, the result of an exquisite execution that honored the sublime stories that inspired them. Libros del Zorro Rojo recovers this mythical work, with a translation by Julio Cortázar and a notable preface by him.
