Description

More than 150 years after its near-extinction, the wolf retakes the last part of its former habitat, Northwestern Europe. In the meantime, the region is gradually becoming an important wolf crossroads.

In this book, wolf expert Jan Loos introduces the reader to an indigenous top predator. He explains how wolves live and takes us along their journey through Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium, over rivers, along dirt roads and through forests. We watch them roam around and settle. How they date a mate and bring new life into this world.

Author

Jan Loos
He can call himself one of the most important wolf experts of the Low Countries. Already in 2011, he launched the Welcome Wolf campaign to prepare the public opinion for the return of an indigenous top predator. When the first wolf set foot again on Flemish soil in 2018, he was at the forefront of observations and information. He is co founder of nature association Landschap vzw.
