Description
It is called "the" Chiemgau, not "that". And spoken with "K", please. But that's just one of the many facets that Klaus Bovers highlights in his favorite places: Of course, the Old Castle on Herreninsel and the Seeon Abbey are there. But have you heard of the barrel organ builder in Grassau, Maria's cinema in Bad Endorf or the Exterhaus overseas? Yes, overseas, namely in the Chiemgau. You don't need a plane ticket for this. And high up in the Chiemgau can simply mean that you go to the mountains - for example to one of the presented alpine huts.
Author
Klaus Bovers, born in Marburg an der Lahn in 1940, is a trained bookseller. He didn't leave out anything that the book and publishing industry has to offer in terms of opportunities and self-employment. As a Bavarian immigrant, he had lived in the publishing city of Munich since 1972, but the Chiemgau cast a spell on him around 40 years ago. Since 2010 he has settled in the old market in Grassau, where he works as an author and literary agent.
