This book​​ is lightly and joyfully illustrated by the rising artist “Hanataki”, whose fresh and sensitive artistic vision brings to life the world of “Koyama Mineko”—a young girl who feels thankful for the beautiful transformation of the four seasons.

Author

​​Author: Kosaka Mineko
Born in Tokyo. A poet and essayist, she is also widely active in writing lyrics for children's songs and composing essays. She won the Special Prize at the 28th Japan Children's Song Award for "The Rainbow Zebra". Her notable works include "Wings of Dreams", "The Calf That Turned into a Flower", and "The Footprints of Landmines", and her creative endeavors were recognized with the 26th Yanagi Kōhaku Literary Award. She received the 28th Japan Children's Literature and Art Association Award for "The Crayon on the Tail", "The Apartment with a Cold" and "The Addition of Words". For her accumulated achievements, she was honored with the 46th Japan Children's Culture Merit Award.

​​Illustrator: Hanataki (provisional translation)​​
Born in Osaka Prefecture. A calligrapher and painter, she held her first exhibition of calligraphy and paintings in Gion, Kyoto, in 2004. Since then, she has developed her artistic career with a style that intertwines calligraphy, painting, and seal carving. Her work spans illustrations, logo design, live painting, as well as teaching calligraphy classes and parent-child workshops. "Wind of Thanks​" is her first picture book.
