Author

KARINE GOTTOT
Author

Born in Sherbrooke, Karine Gottot holds a teaching diploma in geography and history in high school. For fifteen years, she rubbed shoulders with young people a lot by being animator, educator and teacher. It is now as a young author that this beautiful bond continues.

Since 2010, she has jointly signed with Maxim Cyr the collection Les dragouilles, which combines absurd humor and urban chronicles. The dredgers are very popular with young people and the series receives several distinctions.

In 2014, she teamed up with illustrator Mathieu Lampron and published the first volume in the Les Mutamatak series.

MAXIM CYR
Author, Illustrator

Montreal illustrator, Maxim Cyr studied at the University of Quebec in Montreal in graphic design. In 2010, he signed with Karine Gottot the series Les dragouilles, a mixture of comics and chronicles on the big cities of the world. With this series, the duo won several Canadian literary awards including the Tamarack Express and the Hackmatack. In 2015, Maxim launched Victor and Igor, a new series of humorous comics featuring two eccentric robots.

Over time, Maxim has developed his own style. The curved, refined lines and the particular care he takes in choosing his colors characterize his work. Maxim spends a lot of time creating characters that come to life under his pen and succeeds in making them particularly endearing.
