Description
They make wonderful reading together with your children. You will all be delighted when you take your time and jointly discuss their themes. Without exception, Scenes from the private and public lives of animals contains clever and timeless stories. Their original versions were written by the most outstanding writers of 19th-century France, such as Honoré de Balzac and George Sand, all magnificent observers of human kind and our society. They did not especially write for children, but still are very much able to explain complex matters in an understandable way.
Thanks to these adaptations, a younger audience can now be introduced to the works of France’s most prominent writers and thinkers. For their convenience, the stories in this edition have been adapted into modern Polish by Madlena Szeliga i Jakub Sokołowski, whilst maintaining the original drawings by the brilliant Granville.
