Author
Born into a family of actors, she studied drama at university and has acted in a number of former Yugoslav films, such as Life Is a Miracle.
At the same time, she is also a writer. Her debut novel, The Tragic Fate of Moritz Dort, was shortlisted for Branko Ćopić’s best novel and was named best novel of the year by NIN Weekly. In addition, she is also an experienced film and television translator, having worked as a translator for the United Nations for 6 years.
Bojana Dimitrovski (Illustrator)
Professional illustrator, painter, she was born in an artistic family and three generations have been engaged in painting business. Influenced by the family environment, Bojana is very fond of painting and art, creating comic books, watercolors and ink paintings.
She lived in Canada for a while and worked for Macmillan’s advertising agency, where she was responsible for advertising illustration and design. At that time, the computer was her main tool for painting, and her work was published in magazines such as Redbook, Vogue, and Glamour, and later, she devoted herself to her passion of illustration. After working in Canada and fashion magazines, she discovered her passion for illustration and returned to Slovenia to concentrate on book illustration.
Her painting style is fresh and beautiful, which has some similarities with Chinese painting. Her portrayal of Mr. Cecil Cat is popular in Slovenia and other European countries.
