Description

With his philosophy of cooking, Joskowitz has written an insightful book about the place of people in nature. The philosopher and cook considers the kitchen as the center of human life. He embarks on a journey to the beginnings of human culture, shows what individual as well as social forces are inherent in cooking, and explores the questions: Where did
we come from? How did we cook back then? How do we cook now and how will it be in the future?

Contents

Leon Joskowitz studied philosophy and sociology. He worked as a waiter, cook and baker and then went on a culinary tour. Afterwards he founded a catering company and the Frankfurt Culinary Festival as part of the Frankfurt Book Fair. He is the initiator of the series “Philosophisch Dinieren” at the Museum Angewandte Kunst, as well as a gardener, ethics teacher and author.
