Author
career in youth literature. He has published over twenty books, often blending
humour and wordplay, he even explains grammar with jokes. In 2023, he received
the Alandar National Literature Award and was a finalist for the 2025 Edebé
Award with this title.
Javier Hermida Ruiz has a degree in Fine Arts and is a secondary school teacher. He
also teaches a master’s program at Loyola University. In addition, he works as a painter,
draftsman, illustrator, and designer for national and international companies. As a teacher,
he has received five national awards and several regional awards.He has participated in the
creation of content for various museums and events around the world (Alicante, Istanbul,
Florida, Oman, Jerez, Qatar, UAE, China, Kazakhstan, Dubai, etc.) and in the design of film
productions (“El corazón de la tierra,” “La gran vida,” “El Palo,” etc.). As a painter, he has won
several national awards as well.
