Description

What if the smallest creatures became pets?
This hybrid nonfiction picture book reimagines earthworms as unexpected yet rewarding companions. Created by an artist who lived with over 1,000 worms for three years, it blends graphic storytelling, memoir, and practical ecological knowledge.
Across nine chapters, comic-style episodes from real life flow into
clearly structured informational spreads covering worm anatomy, habitat
setup, feeding, seasonal care, and vermicomposting. Rather than
separating story from science, the book presents knowledge as something
discovered through daily care.
By framing worms as pets, it expands the idea of companionship and
invites readers to engage directly with ecological cycles at home.
