Feature

★ A clear and deeply human guide for those living with emotional exhaustion, who have become disconnected from themselves, or who feel they can no longer keep running away.
★ Far from quick promises or magical solutions, this book invites us to pause, to look at ourselves with greater kindness, and to learn how to hold what hurts without breaking.

Description

There are moments when the body tenses, the mind races, and emotions take over. We feel at our limit, yet we keep functioning. No one taught us how to relate to what we feel—we learned to stay silent, endure, distract ourselves, and keep going even when we can't anymore.

Don't Run from Yourself is born from this common yet rarely named experience. In this book, psychologist Bárbara Tovar, drawing on years of work with people in emotional crisis, invites us to stop escaping our emotions and begin listening to them—not as enemies, but as sources of information about our needs, our history, and our boundaries.

Through real cases, personal experiences, and a warm, honest voice, the author shows how emotions serve a purpose, how the body speaks when words fail, and how resisting what we feel often turns pain into lasting suffering.
