A succulent plant enthusiast, JOJO excels at creating beautiful arrangements using succulents of various shapes and forms together with different vessels. Her passion for succulents led her to publish the book “New Succulent Compositions,” and her love for floral art inspired her to edit the “Flower·Vision” series, including titles such as “A Bouquet in Bloom” and “Bringing Flowers and Plants into Your Home.” With a wide range of hobbies, she enjoys all things interesting, striving to discover the beauty in everyday life and savoring the pleasures of a slow-paced lifestyle.
Zhao Da
An enthusiast of flora and fauna, Zhao Da is an expert in succulents of the Apocynaceae family and holds a master’s degree in art. From an early age, he has been passionate about nature and living organisms, cultivating various flowers and plants. He has a particular fondness for cacti and succulent plants, with a deep fascination for the cultivation of Apocynaceae succulents. Active on numerous succulent plant forums, he established the online platform “Apocynaceae Succulent Garden,” where he researches, disseminates, and promotes related materials and knowledge. He has been invited to write a special article titled “Alien Flowers: Apocynaceae” for Shanghai’s “Young Scientist” magazine and has contributed articles such as “Alien Flowers Fallen to Earth: Stapelia,” “Intoxicated Dragon: A Remarkable Apocynaceae Succulent with Peculiar Flowers,” and “Expert Lecture Hall | Qiu Yin’s Fantastical World of Apocynaceae” for the WeChat public account “The Charging Succulent.” He is eager to share his enthusiasm for these fascinating ornamental plants with everyone.
Yang Xiaoyang
A lifelong plant enthusiast, Yang Xiaoyang was originally a precision manufacturing engineer in Singapore. From 2013 to 2014, he was employed by the Horticultural Center of the South China Botanical Garden, Chinese Academy of Sciences, becoming a Southeast Asian plant conservationist while also serving as the person in charge of Chinese vernacular names for Southeast Asian plants on the website of the Chinese Natural History Museum. He has been repeatedly invited by domestic and international research institutions to organize and conduct plant science outreach activities and lectures, including events hosted by Singapore’s Suibin Nanyang Network, Tsinghua University’s TEDx, Guokr’s Wanyou Youth Feast, the Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the South China Botanical Garden. The Straits Times in Singapore has also published an extensive feature article about him. He participated in the filming of the documentary “Fruit Chronicles” and is the author of “Southeast Asian Fruit Hunter.”
