This series comprises five books: “The Ghost in the Library,” “The Mysterious Whispers,” “The Mystery of the Locked Room,” “The Secret of the Old Wardrobe,” and “The Mystery of the Cursed Chest of Drawers.”

During the renovation of the school’s west wing, workers unexpectedly discovered a secret passage leading to a hidden chamber. Upon learning this news, Team X immediately set out to investigate. Curious about this concealed space, they were eager to uncover its history and purpose—and to determine whether it had indeed once served as an alchemy laboratory, as legend had it.
As Team X explored the hidden chamber, they meticulously documented its internal structure, the objects inside, and any potential clues. At the same time, they began to notice the workers’ unusual behavior, overhearing them plotting a nefarious scheme. The team found itself in a complex situation: they had to protect the integrity of the hidden chamber while also preventing the workers from carrying out their plan. Relying on both their wits and courage, Team X successfully rose to this dual challenge.

Chair of the Russian Association of Children’s and Young Adult Writers and a member of the Board of the Russian Writers’ Union, Svetlana has authored and published more than 10 books, as well as numerous fairy tales and short stories. She was awarded the Grand Prize of the 2018 “Open Eurasia” International Competition and the 2018 “For the Benefit of the World” Literary Prize. She is also a member of the Contemporary Prose Masters’ Club “Literary House” and the London Eurasian Creative Association. For many years, she has been deeply committed to public-interest projects that promote reading among children, helping them grow through the joy of reading.
