Welcome to Tinkertown! This is a wonderful world brimming with creativity and friendship.

Here lives Scissors, who loves creating and can do almost anything, along with his inseparable group of friends—Tape, who is always ready to stick things together and mend; gentle Glue; Eraser, who is good at wiping away mistakes; and Pencil, full of whimsical ideas.

One day, the residents of the neighboring Paper Doll Village heard about Scissors' superb craftsmanship and came to visit, asking him to make a unique, magnificent set of festive costumes. Scissors happily agreed. Snip, snip—the dress was done! Snip, snip—the hat was finished! He enjoyed the joy of creating for his friends.

However, as the requests grew more demanding and excessive, joy gradually turned into pressure… Scissors felt tired and wronged. Finally, after an unpleasant incident, he left in sadness.

What Happened in Ttokttak Village? is exactly such a heartwarming story about passion, boundaries, misunderstandings, and reconciliation. It delicately portrays:

The test and repair of friendship: What should you do when conflicts arise between good friends?

The recognition and expression of emotions: How do you say “I’m tired,” “I’m hurt,” or “I’m sorry”?

Genuine growth: Through understanding and forgiveness, everyone can become a better version of themselves.

The entire story is presented through the exquisite paper-art illustrations uniquely created by author Ahn Eun-young. Every character, every leaf is hand-cut and collaged, full of lively and adorable texture, inviting young readers into an imaginative world that feels both familiar and wonderfully new.

Want to know how Scissors and the Paper Dolls eventually resolve their misunderstandings, and how the friendship in Ttokttak Village shines even brighter? A marvelous journey about creation, emotions, and growth awaits your discovery.
