Description

When we think of “amazing insects,” we might picture rare tropical species or brightly colored exotic bugs. But actually, many insects living right around us have equally astonishing qualities that make us exclaim “Wow!”

From the perspective of biological photographer Mamoru Yasuda, this book extensively introduces the fascinating and remarkable aspects of common insects through various themes like “babies,” “faces,” “droppings,” and “molting.” Particularly noteworthy is the “Collect a Life” project - an attempt to understand an insect's complete life cycle through the “droppings” it produces and the “eggs” it lays throughout its lifetime.

With every page turn, you'll be amazed by the diverse, vibrant appearances of insects and their survival strategies, discovering the unexpected wonders of insects living nearby. Suitable for elementary school readers.

*This book is a revised and redesigned version of “Forest Holidays 5: Collecting and Enjoying Insect Collections” originally published in August 2007, now reworked for both children and adults to enjoy as a family!
