Highlights that you can learn in so many different ways and it doesn't have to be boring!

Description

At school, Pam really does hear her teacher explain something about the sums she and her classmates have to do. They have to make groups of ten. Take one away. Add one. But then a line of ants walks by. Twenty, Pam quickly counts. Two groups of ten! When suddenly two ants disappear (minus two!), Pam dives under her desk to look for them.
Her teacher is not amused. Pam has to sit still and pay attention. But isn’t Pam doing math too? Before long, the whole class is busy counting ants, making groups, adding and subtracting.
And the teacher? He feels that his math lesson is getting completely out of hand… or is it?

Author

Tineke Honingh writes stories for children and young adults, as well as short stories for magazines, screenplays for comic books, a serial on the internet and entire books,, such as The (Un)usual Story of Bo (and Tom), which was highly praised upon publication.

Marieke van Ditshuizen has been illustrating (children’s) books since 2010. Her style is colourful, fresh, and timeless, with a touch of nostalgia and plenty of imagination.
