About the Author
Leung Nga-yi
Bachelor of Language Education from The University of Hong Kong, Master of Cultural Studies and Chinese Language & Literature from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She is an experienced language teacher and children’s book author. She loves Chinese culture, cheongsams, and freehand ink wash paintings. Her works have received awards including the Hsin-Yi Picture Book Award for Creative Writing, Hong Kong Picture Book Creation Award, Chinese Literary Creation Award, Hong Kong Publishing Biennial Award, and “Top Ten Good Reads,” among others. Her publications include picture books such as 《Childhood Without Mobile Phones》, 《Mom Likes Stinky Smells》, 《The New Neighbor’s Gift》, 《Hippo Mom Divides Pancakes》, 《I Want to Raise a Whale》, as well as the bridge book series 《I Really Want to Visit the Stationery Store》.

About the Illustrator
Choi Wing-yan
Graduated from the Academy of Visual Arts at Hong Kong Baptist University. Since childhood, she has cultivated habits of walking, daydreaming, and observing by the seaside in Aberdeen, Hong Kong. She approaches nature and still life from an animistic perspective and transforms these observations into creative works. After graduation, she engaged in book publishing and children’s education, believing in the magic of words and images.
