Feature

★Thirty essays by angry teenagers, each followed by a commentary from the author, a clinical psychologist who has devoted his life to this subject. This book holds up a critical mirror to adults, for children are merely their reflections.

Description

Ignat Schmidt presents us with the stories of thirty teenagers this time, for us to read and ponder over - all these thirty pieces of writing were penned by them during their therapy sessions. At the end of each story, the author has attached professional comments and brief summaries.

We read about their anger, rebellion, stress, fear, violence, search, doubts, confusion... Almost all the teenagers are confronted with the issue of self-image; almost all of them are under various pressures - from family, schoolwork, and love. The author treats them with utmost seriousness, engaging in dialogue with them through sincere love, kindness, friendship, patience, optimism, and a great deal of humor - and it is this abundance of humor that has won the response of many children. He believes in them and extends a helping hand as they seek their way out.

At the same time, he also turns the mirror towards adults. The image we wish to see depends on ourselves.
