Description
“Esteemed guest, drawn by fate, would you care to hear my tale?”
————————————————————————————————————
The work is set in the underworld and constructs an Eastern fantasy system where humans and spirits coexist. The character prototypes integrate mythological creatures such as the five-toed jumping mouse and the yin-yang fish.
The comic focuses on the contractual relationship between Tuoba Yuqian, the underworld enforcer, and Qi Shuihua, the wizard. The former becomes the servant of the latter for certain reasons, and the two form a love-hate bond while investigating the Blood Mask Yama case.
Through the subplot of the underworld censor Judging the Samsara assisting the Yin Emperor, the story weaves together themes of order maintenance and karmic destiny, and uses the “Divine Oracle” artifact and the legend of Nuwa’s creation to form the narrative thread. Its worldview includes the contradictions of responsibility under a power system and the emotional tension of the characters, with a painting style in ancient Chinese elegance.
