This enchanting tale revolves around a lively ensemble of cups, a teapot, a sugar bowl, and a milk pitcher, all convinced they are cut out for tea party greatness. Little do they know, they are merely toys. However, like any honorable toy, they harbor dreams of someday gracing the shelves of a child’s room. Much like the elegant components of a coffee and tea set, perfectly nestled within a box, patiently await their fate in the store, yearning for someone to bestow them as a gift. Yet, it is only when they are finally liberated from the store that their true adventure begins…

Nataša Vertelj is writer, designer and illustrator - her works adorn countless homes. Her illustrations are mainly in pastel, occasionally combined with acrylic, collage or mixed media, with soft and light tones and delicate pastel color schemes. Her creative focus has always been on children's illustrations. I love to translate words into pictures, and thus the idea came to me: let the characters in picture books "step" out of the pages and live on the walls of children's rooms.

Natasha has illustrated over 40 children's and young adult books. Her works have been published in children's magazines, and she has been the main artist for several gift bag designs in the MiaMondo gift series and the POT brand. She received a special award from the jury at the international competition "Butterfly and Swan Wings" held in Schwanns, Austria, and in 2017, she won the first prize for the best illustration in children's and young adult literature.
