Author

Elke Schwarzer, a best-selling author for Der Spiegel, is a certified biologist who spends as much time in nature as possible. She photographs plants and insects and practices gardening in her nature garden using compost, peat-free soil, and without pesticides. In her garden, you can find several beehives, a wasp nest box, and aurora butterflies that lay their eggs on silvery leaves, but there are also some naked snails, which she keeps in check with appropriate plant selection.
