Description

The big moment is here—the start of the annual winter games! Most of the forest animals have trained all year, honing their skills to compete in a variety of events. Owl hasn’t trained at all. But Owl isn’t worried! She's always the best at everything without having to train or practice. Her natural talent and confidence are enough—or so she thinks. Best-selling author/illustrator Katy Hudson brilliantly showcases themes of self-awareness, friendship, and the difference between being confident and being arrogant in this entertaining picture book.

Author

Katy Hudson
Katy was raised in Middlesbrough and started her Illustration career as a small child drawing on freshly emulsioned walls around the house! Her parents quickly dissuaded this medium and encouraged drawing with pencil and paper instead.
The idea stuck (the pencil was updated to an ink pot and pen in some cases) and after some lovely time at Art College and a degree in Illustration. She is now a freelance Illustrator living and working in South East London with her husband and two children.
Katy’s illustrations have been used on underground posters, greeting cards, gift wrap, stamps, tea towels, napkins, 3D advent calendars and more. To see her licensing portfolio please click here.
Her debut author/illustrated picture book "Bear and Duck" was published by Harper Collins in June 2015, to a starred review from Kirkus Review. Her subsequent books "Too Many Carrots" and “A Loud Winter’s Nap,” went on to top the bestsellers list in the US .
