“The story of Sunder began with the development of its main character, Zeek,” said Pierre-Alexandre Comtois. “As I explored his identity and origins, the narrative gradually took shape, and once I determined the endgame, everything else fell into place. Influenced by my love for monsters, fantasy, and favorite works like Bone, Blacksad, Star Wars, Hellraiser, and Dark Souls, the story, its settings, and its characters were brought to life. When a mysterious book appears in the library of a young monk named Zeek, he must embark on a quest to find its rightful owner. Unbeknownst to him, another dark figure has been searching for this very book for a very long time, sending his minions across the known planets and using dark magic to find it at all costs. When this evil figure realises the manuscript has finally resurfaced, it sets events in motion that will send Zeek on an adventure unlike anything he could have ever imagined - leading Zeek to discover his true identity and destiny.

Pierre-Alexandre Comtois is a creator, author, and artist with over 20 years in animation storytelling. He has previously self-published Shard and worked on various projects like Trolls, Addams Family, Sonic Prime, and Peanuts Specials. Sunder is a personal passion project, combining his love for storytelling with his admiration for European comics and long-form manga.
Versatile using all sorts of mediums, whether it be pencil and ink, watercolor or digital tools like Cintiq or tablets, using a variety of software including Photoshop, Painter, Sketchbook Pro as well as 3D packages like Zbrush, Maya and 3DS Max.
Had the Privilege to work on some amazing projects such as films like Relativity Media's "Immortals", Marathon's "Ballerina", Carpe Diem's "Snowtime!" and animated TV series such as Hasbro's "Littlest Pet Shop", PVP Group's "Jar Dwellers SOS", Teletoon's "ToonMart Marty" and ToonDraw's "Yaya et Zouk" as well as illustration for the new LeapPad 'smain hub background landscape.
