Description

Leon, whose mother works in an art gallery and father is a painter, meets the phenomenal Tiger from Henri Rousseau's painting. The animal introduces the boy to the fascinating world of painting. He explains what perspective is, shows how to use colors, light and shadow. Together with Leon, he enters the world of well-known paintings by Van Gogh or Monet, which suddenly come to life, thanks to the knowledge provided by the Tiger. Subsequent works become embedded in the memory of both the book's hero and ours. We begin to get to know them better, understand them, feel them. And they become magical.

The book won the Grand Prix in the 6th Astrid Lindgren Literary Competition for a contemporary book for children and young people, organized by the "ABCXXI" Foundation - All of Poland Reads to Children.
