Description

She is Yun Duo, a rookie sports reporter intern: energetic, full of drive, but occasionally a little scatterbrained. He is Tang Yibai, a national-level swimmer who has endured setbacks and is ready to reclaim his glory, known for his astonishing talent, focused dedication, and—among those close to him—his sly and sharp-tongued true self.

Their meeting begins with a poolside interview. Yun Duo racks her brains to find news angles, while Tang Yibai effortlessly deflects her "tactics" with his straightforward yet humorous logic.

Yun Duo: "Tang Yibai, some netizens say you're the most handsome athlete ever. How do you feel when you hear that?"
Tang Yibai: "What does being handsome have to do with anything? I don't swim with my face."
Yun Duo: "Being handsome makes you more likable, so you'd have more fans."
Tang Yibai: "Will having more fans make me swim faster?"

As Yun Duo continues to report on Tang Yibai's comeback journey, she gradually enters his world. She witnesses firsthand his grueling daily training, comes to understand his almost religious dedication to swimming, and senses the scars left by past setbacks. In Tang Yibai's eyes, Yun Duo's sincerity, occasional clumsiness, and pure passion for her journalistic work are like a ray of sunshine illuminating his competition-filled life.

Affection quietly grows through interviews and companionship. Tang Yibai's fondness shows in seemingly offhand gestures—like drinking the juice she left behind, or "jealously" demanding she call him "Brother Yibai" when she praises other athletes. Most of all, it's knowing her focused, recording gaze is always there at the poolside when he strives in the water. Yun Duo's fondness shows in her efforts to write the most moving reports to restore his reputation, and in her silent companionship when he faces pressure.

Yet the path of growth is never smooth. Tang Yibai must confront formidable opponents, physical limits, and the heavy expectations of a champion. Yun Duo must navigate workplace competition, ethical challenges in reporting, and the public scrutiny that comes with being a celebrity's girlfriend. Their love is tightly bound to each other's dreams. This is a fresh story about how two people move from walking side-by-side to advancing hand-in-hand amidst turbulent "sprays" (both in the pool and in life), ultimately arriving together at a brighter future.

"Before, my world was only swimming. I never considered love. If I hadn't liked you so much that I couldn't control it, I wouldn't have chosen to confess."

He is the swift white streak in the waves; she is the lone cloud in the sky.
In short, the waves are churning, the world should make way—Tang Yibai is here.
