Description

Featured in: Chunichi Shimbun, PHP Karada Smile (August 2024 issue), NEWSCAST, Lifehacker, YOU Yokkaichi, YouTube Knowledge Salon.

“When a dog barks at you, people simply think, ‘A dog barked.’
No one agonizes: ‘Why did it bark at me?’
‘What did I do wrong?’
‘How can I stop it...’
Let alone brood the next day: ‘Why that dog barked...’
Malicious words are no different.”
— Hiroyuki

As Mr. Hiroyuki notes, “criticism” warrants no attention. Yet, baseless slander still wounds.
This book dissects through psychology: Why does malice persist in societies that teach ‘don’t hurt others’? When anyone can become a target, how do we turn vitriol into fuel?
