Some are tiny. Others are a bit bigger. Some are stubborn and pig-headed. Others are weird and mysterious.
I look after some of them. But I run from the others.
Because they are boring and won’t leave me alone.
I’ve realized that brave people don’t run away from their fears. But, sometimes, I can’t do so. And it’s because I don’t want to run away, when I’m really scared, that I call my mum. Or my dad.”

Eduardo Sá masters the art of revealing the world through the eyes of a child. Children are afraid of many things, in fact they have many fears, and the darkness of the night turns these fears into terrifying monsters.
But this little child will learn that sometimes you have to stand up to them to make them disappear!

Polina Bakhtina is an interdisciplinary artist, a theatre set and costume designer with experience in contemporary theatre, exhibitions and immersive spaces, as well as art book’s design and illustrations.
She has been awarded the Gold Medal of the Prague Quadrennial, 2015; the Golden Mask Award as Best Theatre Artist of Drama, 2021; the Sergei Kuryokhin Grand Prize, 2009 and the BookILL Fest’s Special Prize, 2016. Winner of the International CJ Book Festival, 2011.
