One day, a crazy plan is born in the heads of three friends. They have had enough of their boring lives and bad treatment. They decide to rent a canoe from a nearby rental shop and paddle off into the distance to explore the world and get a taste of freedom.
There is only one problem: Bessie, Daisy and Annabelle are... cows. But, as we all know, where there’s a will, there’s a way! Therefore, despite all odds, they embark on an adventurous journey which rewards them with a whole lot of new friendships...
This unusual book drew inspiration from the true story of cows which escaped from their pasture and, after a long journey, joined a herd of European bisons. They lived happily among them and even had offspring!
It is hard to imagine these real-life escapees using canoes or some other means of transport – but... who knows how it really was?
