Description
The Sky Shoes
The remote mountain village of Umori was founded as an ideal and secret community by a strange old woman named Derendak during Japanese colonial times. None of the villagers here are native to the area, but are immigrants who have uprooted themselves to settle in Umori with Derendak's help. Everyone has a little known past. But no one talks about it anymore. All the land in the village belonged to Derendak, and the villagers lived here without asking for anything in return.
Until one year, after a month of rain, it was as if the heavens opened and something fell from the sky with a crash that shook the village, and strange things began to happen. The teacher of the village was found drowned, and a terrible light began to hover in the well of the village. Derendak looked up at the sky and noticed that it was painted in strange colours. She decided to do something about it, but first she called the young girl Mary and told her about her own distant past...
