Author

Sayaka Shigeta(シゲタ/サヤカ)
Born in 1979. After graduating from a junior college, she worked at a printing company and later studied picture book creation at the Palette Club School. In 2009, she made her debut as a picture book writer with the 30th Best Work Award - winning piece "Don't Cook for Handa - Valley." In 2012, "It's Not a Ghost, It's a Rice Ball" ranked 7th in the 5th MOE Picture Book Award. In 2019, "The Food House Relay Competition Begins" ranked 3rd in the 12th MOE Picture Book Award. Other works include "The Pot That Can't Cook," "I Know the Chef's Hat," "Is Kappa Also a Cucumber?," and "I Want to Eat Cabbage."
