This book seeks to bring to all audiences, but especially to children, the multifaceted figure of Emilia Pardo Bazán through moments of her exciting life. We will be amazed by the curious girl and great reader, the woman in love and independent and the author of character, rebellious to the role expected of every lady in a privileged social and family environment. Through reading, study and an infinite capacity for work, she was able to be recognized in her time, overcoming, in many moments, the disdain of many colleagues and academics while being recognized, nationally and internationally, by the public and critics.
The illustration, created with a particular use of traditional techniques that combine strong drawing and acrylic colors, is inspired and supported, in addition to the simple and well-documented texts of María Canosa, in photos and news of the time, as well as monuments and buildings that they still exist today, seeking to recreate the atmosphere and places that the author frequented with very recognizable and attractive images.
