"In the Woods" is a wonderful and poetic story drawn from a speech given by the Barcelona writer Ana Maria Matut when she joined the Spanish Royal Academy of Philology in 1998. In her speech, she brings to life the images and characters that have accompanied her long writing career: secret rumors, invisible beings hidden in shadows, and the voices of the inhabitants at the center of the world.
