Description

Something is waiting, right there, below the surface; a memory, a monster under Camille's bed, who hasn't slept for weeks. Except that you have to sleep, to live, and to have the right again to see Jeanne, her beloved niece, who needs her so much to learn to defend herself.

So Camille accepts: she will go and ask Gabriel for help, surrender to his strange machine which searches hidden areas of the mind. But a fear grips her ... what if she loses control?

A disturbing, breath-taking novel that will deprive you of sleep until the last page.

Author

A psychological thriller flirting with horror that holds us at the end of our chair from start to finish. […] Skillfully blurring the line separating dreams from reality, [Claudine Dumont] twists the reader in her spider's web, keeping him captive, playing with benchmarks.- Iris Gagnon-Paradis, La Presse

Three words come to mind when I think back to my reading of this novel: intriguing, peculiar and disturbing. We do not come out of this reading unscathed. It haunts us. [...] A very interesting discovery!
4 and a half stars- The bibliomaniac (blog)

The author of Anabiose offers a disturbing novel, hypnotizing writing, impossible to let go.- The Booksellers

A fascinating psychological suspense. [...] This particular thriller leaves moreover traces: what is thus the true nature of our dreams and our insomnia? Enough to keep the intrusive in mind for a long time! - Josée Boileau, Le Journal de Montréal

[…] The author has once again been able to demonstrate that she has mastered the art of creating a universe where her protagonist must do violence to herself - and fight for her survival - in order to find a balance, however precarious it may be.
4 stars- The Urban Bible
