Description

In this book, children will learn that an apple tree is not only a kind of plant, it is also the important habitat for many animals. For instance, small woodpeckers and little owls like nesting in the apple tree; Blue tits and starling birds are always looking for insects in the branches; Lady beetles like searching for delicious aphids on leaves of apple trees; Bats and squirrels also like to climb to the apple trees to find delicious food. Apple trees also need one particular kind of animals: if apple blossoms are not pollinated, they will not be able to produce delicious apple!

Author

Peter Rüther

Born in 1962. He worked at biological station as a tationmaster, and he had been teaching of botany courses in the school for more than 10 years. Also, he published several books about areas for conservation of nature. Since 2015, he has been serving as the chairman of EuroNatur. At the same time, he is also a passionate nature photographer.
