Description
This book is an autobiographical picture book, written by Hector Cabrera and journalist David Bly, with illustrations by Mamen Mason.
The story tells the experience of the boy Hector (the author himself) who was diagnosed with "Stargart Syndrome", a disease that causes progressive visual deterioration. However, he is determined to overcome this obstacle to realize his dream.
The story takes place in the towns of Oliva (the birthplace of Cabrera) and Gandia (where he lives and trains) in Valencia. It tells how he decided to accept his disability, how to spend his childhood and adolescence, and how to relate Classmates exercise together and study at the same speed as others.
Author
Journalist, has been working in the media since 1996. A columnist for the "Emerging Talent" of the Spanish newspaper El Mundo, who stands out as a recognized expert in sports and mediation leadership. In addition, he is a master's degree professor at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, the University of Florida and the Catholic University of Murcia.
