Description

The island of Columbreta has a lighthouse which illuminates the dark sea. The locals, like Old Crab, who’s missing a claw since a pirate cut it off, and Pepi the Octopus, who eats sweets under a parasol, or the jellyfish and snails, and the little seahorses, they all live happily on their island. But what would happen if the Lighthouse decided it was too much effort to shine at night? What would happen if it stopped working? What would the sailors do? And what if a storm came and destroyed it? You’ll surely enjoy discovering this story of a restless lighthouse.

Author

Laura Mata Román

I was born in Maragon, a small town in Ciudad Real in 1961. It was a hot August. My parents decided to give us a better future. They went to Valencia to "look for beans (to make money)", as my mother always said. They got everything through work and hard work. Anyway, I grew up in a beautiful seaside city, where I study, work, live, enjoy and write. After working in the book industry for nearly 20 years and doing promotion in schools and bookstores, I realized one of my dreams: publishing. Today, I continue to build my own dream come true castle.
