Description
The book takes readers on a journey through the vast world of psychology, bringing the wisdom of self-healing and warm comfort to modern people who often fall into anxiety and melancholy. Author
The author considers herself someone who writes every day and dreams incessantly. She openly expresses her own pain to comfort the wounded souls of her readers. After obtaining her Ph.D. in Korean Language and Literature from Seoul University, she meets readers nationwide through lectures on humanities, psychology, and writing. She states that if we do not live with a sincere heart and fail to grasp the little things in life, we might inadvertently miss all emotions and memories, the people we cherish, and life itself.
Having healed her own pain through literature, travel, and psychology, she wants to write articles that soothe the pain of others. Although she has been hurt in the past, she now wants to become a healer who brings courage to others, writing articles that bring courage to the weary people of the world and have broad and profound meanings.
Rather than being confined to a certain framework, she prefers to become the subject herself and engage in freer, more creative writing. She currently operates the Naver blog "Jung Yu-mi's Monthly" and hopes to communicate peacefully with readers through this blog without arguments. At the same time, she hosts the KBS First Broadcast program "Silver River's Cinema, Jung Yu-mi's Library" and appears as a guest on "Kim Sung-wan's Poetry Night."
Her works include the essay collection "The Study of the Soul," which won the 3rd Jeon Suk-hee Literary Award, the psychological healing essay "To: Myself Who Cannot Be Soothed," "You Who Often Say It's Okay," the humanistic travel book "My Top 10 Loved Europe," the love letter to youth "If Only I Had Known Then," and the humanities cultivation books "The Road to Haixi," "The Right to Learn," etc., as well as "Vincent, My Vincent," "About Forty," "Monthly Jung Yu-mi," "The Right to Learn," "Shadow Travel," "Words That Were Not Spoken at That Time," "Film Diary," "You Who Often Say It's Okay," and so on.
