Description

How does one predict what sort of weather we are going to have tomorrow? How do we measure it? Measurements obtained from weather stations help us understand general meteorological principles and environmental parameters which are essential for weather forecasting. What does weather mean?
Are climate and weather the same thing? The intended purpose of Talking about the weather is to provide support for interpreting meteorological information, starting with data collected from weather stations within the Alcotra area bordering France, Italy and Switzerland.

Author

In French, O3E stands for “observing the environment with an educational intent”. It is a cross border project aimed at increasing environmental understanding and awareness divided into three disciplines: seismology, meteorology and hydrology. It is targeted at primary and secondary school children in the French, Italian and Swiss Alps. In fact, natural hazards like earthquakes, landslides and meteorological events are frequent in this area.
