Description

This new series of leveled science readers for primary and elementary students provides an introduction to the basic building blocks of science. Each reader is 24 pages, full-color with illustrations on each page and between 100-400 words. This series introduces real science concepts to young children in an easy to understand and engaging format. Young readers discover atoms and molecules; force, energy and work; what makes something alive; acids and bases; how chemistry, biology, physics, astronomy and geology work; DNA and proteins; viruses and bacteria; sea jellies, mollusks, and bats; yeast and molds; and much more. There are over 66 individual science reader books in production to be released in 2020 and 2021.

In this simply written, colorful book, the physics concept of force is introduced. Young readers learn that force is described as any action that changes the location or shape of an object or how fast or slowly it moves (speed). Examples of force are given. 24 full color pages with many engaging illustrations. A pronunciation guide is included. Reading Level 1-3, Interest Level 2-5.

In 2001 ,Dr. Keller began formalizing her teaching materials to equip non-science teachers with a curriculum that would make them feel comfortable teaching science to their children. Dr. Keller worked in the molecular biology, chemistry, and neuroscience fields. Although she hadn’t planned to be an author, her success in engaging kids in science prompted her to launch the Real Science-4-Kids program.
Today Real Science-4-Kids is being taught in 50 states as well as Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Europe, Japan and Korea. Keller's team continues to develop and test products
